Plumbago Villa and Apartments are only a 3 minute walk from the local beach in Holetown. The beach (St James) is excellent for sunbathing, walking, swimming and snorkelling.  Turtles swim offshore just a 10 minute walk away and there are some excellent reef's in either direction.

There are bars/restaurants on the beach (Surfside and Cocomos) where meals and drinks are available night and day. The ideal place to sit and watch the sun go down (with a Rum Punch in hand).

Amenities and services near the beach include the Chattel Village- a row of small souvenir and clothes shops, supermarkets, a Chefette restaurant- the largest fast food and salad bar company in Barbados, and a large mall full of shops for souvenirs, tourist information, a bank, a main supermarket and bar in the centre.

The main Holetown centre also includes tourist information, post office, internet cafe, shops and restaurants to suit all budgets.
